New, Best Ever Loctite® 243

A strong cure you can take apart with hand tools

Loctite® 243 lets you lock and seal slightly oily threaded fasteners with confidence; yet, when you need to disassemble the part for service, all you need are basic hand tools. This anaerobic product provides a vibration-proof, shock-proof, leak-proof seal. Loctite® engineers designed it with increased cutting-oil action for application on less active substrates, such as stainless steel and plated surfaces. The formula reduces the migration of the liquid product after application to the substrate. For threaded fasteners M6-M20. NSF/ANSI 61. CFIA Approved.

Loctite® 567 PST® Thread Sealant with PTFE: For tapered pipe threads and fittings.

Withstands high temperature and high pressure.

ABS-approved Loctite® 567 Thread Sealant holds up under temperatures to 204°C (400°F) with excellent solvent resistance. This easy-to-apply white paste is excellent for high-pressure applications: It locks and seals tapered metal, pipe threads and fittings—up to 68.9/Nmm2 (10,000 p.s.i./72 hours). While the seal is tough and durable, you can easily disassemble it with just hand tools. It’s ideal for stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized metal, and other inert metals.

Loctite® 515 Gasketing Compound: For pumps, themostats, compressors, transmission housings and axle covers.

A tight, flexible seal with no mixing needed.

Loctite® 515 is a one-component product that cures in the absence of air and seals close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges. It will flex with minor flange movements. Loctite® 515 provides resistance to low pressures immediately after the assembly of flanges. It makes flexible gaskets for rigid machined flanges with a gap of less than 1.27mm (0.050"). It flexes when flanges move in service.
Loctite® 515 is typically used as a form-in-place gasket for pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housings and axle covers.

Loctite® 2047 High Lubricity High Strength Threadlocker: Designed for Large Fasteners

Facilitate Large Fastener Assembly by Providing Lubrication

The high strength property of this threadlocker ensures that the clamp load is maintained even through continuous exposure to shock, vibration and thermal cycling. Loctite® 2047 has a slow cure profile to allow torquing of multiple bolts in a single assembly prior to curing. On large highly torqued bolts where considerable heat is generated during assembly the slow cure profile is a benefit in preventing premature cure. Removal is quick and simple by heating to above 150℃ and disassembling with hand tools while hot.

Loctite® 648 Retaining Compound: Rapid cure, consistent performance for both large and small gaps in cylindrical assemblies.

A one-component solution that prevents vibration loosening and leaks.

Loctite® 648 is designed for bonding cylindrical fitting parts. It requires no mixing, so it is easy to apply. Loctite® 648 cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include holding gears and sprockets onto gearbox shafts, and rotors on electric motor shafts. Loctite® 648 increases the shear strength of cylindrical, non-threaded assemblies.

  • An industry standard for assembling press- and slip-fitted parts.
  • Fills the “inner space” between components and cures to form a strong precision assembly.
  • A retaining compound recommended for continuous working temperatures up to 150°C (300°F).
  • Fills gaps up to 0.15mm (0.006") diameter clearance.
  • Fixtures in 5 minutes.
